Assuming you use Google Analytics - check out your referring traffic sources. You should see twitter, digg, sphinn, etc.

If you are using wordpress for your site or blog then you can refer Web/FTP Stats which are configured in cpanel.

Sign up for a Google Analytic account, it will show you the referring sites.
Or you can sign up for a yahoo blog log account. It will also show you the referring sites.

There are quite a few systems you can use to track how much and where your traffic is coming from. Google analytics, getclicky, and many more.

Yes, you need to use Google Analytic. Also, it is good to put the code on each page as you can track visitor behaviour through it and optimize accordingly.

Google Analytics is best for you. It will give almost all the details about the traffic coming to your site. It gives all details from where the traffic comes and how much . Tells you about the unique visits from the particular site and lot more. Just make an account on google analytics and start analyzing your traffic

I would recommend analytics as well, you may even try free website statistics websites which would show you your traffic sources and activities.

you have to try Facebook because it is the best social network.
It has got over 300 million monthly active users which is more than any other social network at present.
These stats are the proof for Facebook being the best social network for maximum traffic.
You can target your desired audience by defining accurate demographics of your audience. Here you can find people of all ages. You first advertise your website on Facebook fan page for minimum rates and create your website's Facebook fan page side by side which will help you to drive Facebook traffic to your website.
