Finding Relevant Conversations in Your Niche
How do you find relevant conversations (networking areanas) in your niche? Not talking about following every one on Twitter, Facebook or any of the other social networking site you can find but finding quality connections in your niche that you could really develop a relationship with.
This article: Finding Relevant Conversations shows some ways to find people in your niche.
Have you tried this? How did it work out for you?

The author of the previous article has another one worth reading: Friendship Pockets Form Via Social Networks

One of the things that happens once you start participating in a few social networks is that you start to form what I call Friendship Pockets. As you befriend people on each network, you see that you have lots of overlap. The same friends you have on one network may also show up as friends on another. The best way to illustrate this is with some sort of graphic, so I’ve quickly made one (below). I’ve only used 3 circles, but of course many more could be added.

Have you noticed this with all the social networking sites you belong to?

Yep! It worked for me.. I write a quality content not for Google but for the researchers, based on my knowledge of popular keywords, I make sure to include my targeted keywords in my post title, lead sentence, metatags, and several times throughout my post.
It’s great for achieving high rankings on Google, though I sacrifice the quality of my content, my writing style, and my unique voice. In effect, everything that helps get me noticed by influencers within my niche. Comments and links are also what give me authority.
I read some guides and tips and then try them hopefully it worked!

Good read. Sometimes finding the right people to connect with is just as hard as making the connections themselves. Since are all people (trolls? ) behind the keyboard, relationships online are an important part to success.

Good info, 'Tutor. I've noticed that I have connections with many of the same people in several different arenas, but I never really thought about it as Donna obviously has. I guess I've been unconsciously doing what she says, just because of common interests. Makes sense!

What other ways can you find relevant conversations? Follow the links in your stats program?
Yep, see I saw that some traffic had shown up at my blog from this thread, so I followed it to see why. That's another good way to connect. Relationships can go a long way towards overcoming obstacles.

LOL, and I'm losing more memories than I'm gaining with every day that goes by. Sucks getting old.

I use RSS feeds and alerts to know when mentions of specific topics occur that way I can jump in and participate if its appropriate.
