Sphinn Says Goodbye To Voting
Sphinn isn't talked about much here (I did a search to figure out which forum I should post this in).
For those who use it (or care):

With voting in decline, we’re giving it up entirely. In the near future, within a week or two, voting will be removed from the site for stories.

Do you think this is a good move Danny Sullivan and crew made? Please explain why you feel that way.

Quick question for you my friend. Isn't Sphinn related to the content company Sphere, where publishers place a small content widget on their website or blog, and get paid a percentage for ppl to click on the content, or something like that?

Sphinn is a social site for search and interactive marketers. It's designed to allow you to share and discover news stories, read and take part in discussions, discover events of interest and network with others. Here's a summary of how to get started:

By the way, Sphinn is part of the Third Door Media network.

If they take away the voting feature, then what would be used to determine if a bookmark is popular on the site? This leaves me wondering... and nothing is popping up on my mind.

If you write about one of the subjects in their categories and it's good, then yes.

I feel it is a good move on the part of Sphinn. As is rightly pointed out, the large social media Facebook and twitter are stealing much of the spotlight. He points out the quality of the articles are down as well as the votes. By going to basic 1.) stick with a niche 2.) quality content, Sphinn will hopefully evolve into a destination for it's target audience to learn, contribute and not worry over who won.

I don't know if sphinn wants to publish any submitted URL instantly or it wants to remove votes from submitted stories that every story to be equal.
Does any one knows about it?

Sounds good. I was asking because there is alot more I need to learn, in terms of how the internet works, and how content can help me build my online company , so i can hire some employees in the future...

Update on Sphinn

All of us at Sphinn are happy to unwrap Sphinn 3.0 today. As you look around the site, you’ll notice some new graphics here and there, some tweaks, and a variety of what we’d call ‘minor’ changes. There are two more important changes that I want to mention here:

Thats interesting, If they will not use voting, then how they will manage the stories?
Well, That was a Huge step for sphinn. and i would say this is innovation, because Who knows this will be the next new thing in internet where everyone wants to create sphinn clones.
