@AJKpeter thats what the thread is about , should i allow users to be able to sign in / make posts using their Facebook account by integrating a facebook login page . I want to know if its worth it because on one hand it helps to ease the stress on users registering while on the other hand i am also thinking it might increase spamming because the users could make random posts and the users might not really feel like members of my forum , they could just see themselves as people who breeze in and out . anyway whats your take on this .

I am also thinking to integrate social media login for my forum and blog. It sounds to be pretty much beneficial but at a same time, it will increase the level of spam on forum and blog. This is the only thing i am concerned about. If there is any way that can help me to control spam, i'll surely integrate the system.

I would have thought that a Facebook login would lead to less spam (since most accounts are real people rather than an anonymous person hiding behind an anonymous email address).

I'd like to hear other people's experiences onto how good a Facebook login is. It's a chore to sign up to a website (fill in form, wait for email, click on email link etc.) most of the time, it would be interesting to hear how a Facebook login can actually increase site activity.

Research has shown that people that have FB or Twitter integration on there site have more users signing up vs the traditional registration, the way for themm to remember you is to have a good call to action so they remmeber your site i.e. RSS signup boxes that are visible/ great content
