I'm sorry that you feel this way but why are movie stars, media and the president using social media to reach people for all sorts of things.

Social media can be used for networking, affiliate marketing, website updates and a ton more things.

I'll admit that kids spend way to much time on Facebook and even a few of my co-workers. I don't let the social sites effect my personal life and i don't spend every minute on them.

i have both facebook and twitter accounts but I prefer facebook to socialize because that's what most people use. I'm not active tweet-er.

Twitter and Facebook has its advantages and disadvantages and will tend to appeal more to different types of people and for different reasons. Each can have great or little value to anyone, it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish in a given situation.

Over all I would rate facebook higher than Twitter. I use both for business, but find facebook to be far more user friendly, and to offer much moor for the business user. I have a very good course available on exploiting the business potential of Facebook,
Twitter on the other hand seems to be in noway short of vacuous celebrities blowing thier own trumpets.
However I may be being a little hastey in my judgement. Maybe you could enlighten me as to the major benefits of conducting business on Twitter. Iam always open to new learning. Thanks Dennis
