I agreed on the above post. You need to set up your own Facebook Page, get a lot of followers and likers. Every updates, your followers and likers will see it. Therefore, the more followers and likers you have, the more you will get visitors to your website.

Also if you run a contest of some sort, ask for people to like your website on FB besides doing other stuff per contest rules to enter in on the contest. An example of this is our SEO contest V7N has going.. http://blog.v7n.com/2011/08/23/seo-package-giveaway/
If you do write any articles or guest blog posts, instead of linking to your website in the anchor text, see if you are aloud to use your facebook page URL instead.

Facebook gives you two option for promoting your website in facebook. One is free and second is paid service like Google adwords. In free option you post your website link, images, news at your friends wall and share.

And keep in mind that if you want to run paid ads, depending on who you're hosting through, you might have a free credit. I know my host provider gave me $200 in credit towards Google AdWords, Facebook, Myspace, etc. It helps!

I would recommend you creating a Fanpage and then advertise that fan page using Sponsored Stories.

Just go to the Facebook and create a Company page, enter company information along with contact details and share that page with your friends also you can invite other users for liking that page or to be a part of that page.

a lot of advertisers use either facebook fan page and/or facebook group.
You can use both, what's important is how you will maximize the use of this to works on your advantage.

you can advertise on Facebook by creating your own fan page. otherwise, if you want quicker results then Facebook also gives you the option to pay for advertisements.

There have few options, you can advertising Facebook through Facebook Ads that cost money, or even better create your own fan page for your website, or the group to make people like you to building big list of fans and people who follow on you, by setting special layout on your website, so someone coming your website and like what you doing and offer them, they can just click like and join to your group people, and in group page, you can post news, videos, comments, etc.

Does anyone have any other suggestions other then mentioning creating a fanpage?
What about marketing that fanpage and also getting people to like your fanpage..etc

there are some sites which offer facebook likes exchange.You like others fb page and in turn they will like yours this way you can get good publicity of your page for free

You can create a face-book page for website. On another hand you can put an add on face-book for your web site. But it is paid advertising.
