I do agree with you. but, Google must work hard to make G+ is popular as facebook or other SB. Actually I am not usual with the G+. I prefer using twitter and fb than G+

As Google entered into the social networking site and recently into the personalized search engine, there are great opportunities for Facebook as it has already been top in the arena of social networking and can enhance their search tool to compete with Google.

pharmawala 01-18-2012 10:29 PM

I already using Googleplus. Its awesome! Because Google offers everything I need and most thing's I want out of communicating with people over the net.

smileverse 01-24-2012 11:05 PM

Hi everyone,

I have a small question for you guys,
Suppose if Facebook with its popularity starts a new search engine then which one you prefer Facebook are Google.

Whether Facebook's search engine will be successful?

This probably wont happen, like everyone is saying.. But I would choose google, easy navigation and they are constantly offering more and more to help user experience.

JPC-Sabrina 02-13-2012 02:57 PM

I don't see Facebook starting an engine. One important point that is overlooked is that Facebook is internal. It doesn't want to send you away from its internal source. Google puts you out to almost all sorts of external spots. Even though both "services" if you want to call them that, have the factor of advertising and revenue they both engage users in a different way.

snakeair 02-13-2012 03:33 PM

Now that FB has filed for IPO, you never know what they will do next. They got a lot to worry about now but i don't see a search engine coming up anytime soon.

Kutcher 02-15-2012 04:38 AM

i prefer google's only...and if facebook starts it will not put much effect on googles popularity...facebook known for social networking not for searching...it will take time to get popular in other search engines.....

plusex 02-15-2012 07:03 AM

it all depends on your business model.

I prefer Google as it gives more targeted users to my websites. Facebook is a total different story with its different marketing strategies.

facebook vs google

I have to give Google a big compliment for their launch. Facebook social networks was immeadiately part of my life. Checking Google more than once per day and seeing the new menu bar helped me to start. Facebook is simple way for social networking info for human .

indusharma 02-21-2012 09:33 PM

i will prefer google because in searching point of view google is more better than facebook.

HQscripts 03-02-2012 08:36 AM

two diferent things, as google try to create social site, that will happen if facebook try to create search engine

You should have searched for it before creating a new thread.

But anyways, it won't become popular until and unless the majority of internet users depend more on social search and I am saying that because I am assuming that whenever Facebook builds a search engine, it would be based on social search.

I agree and I dont think I will ever be in a discussion and where someone will say lets facrbook it.. lol it just dosent sound right...

Hmm I am hungry I think im gonna facebook it
or how about: I need an SEO Quote, im gonna go facebook it
um no, not gonna happen.

The whole "GOOGLE IT" will keep Google the preferred search engine.

SeaTownJosh 03-04-2012 11:19 PM

Google and facebook need each other. Facebook needs google for the traffic they get from there search engine. While google needs facebook when they promote there youtube videos. They are married wether they like it or not.

deepaksahay09 03-05-2012 03:21 AM

Google is a search engine. Any type of searching in google then Google provide quickly result. Facebook is a social site. It is also share our comment ,argument and other any types of news about our sites related. It is very use full.

neil_buzzerchat 03-05-2012 04:02 AM

google is very popular because of its services and offerings and i think if facebook opens a new search engine then definetly it will become famous as millions of people uses it but that search engine has to be good in user interface and services provided.

Facebook wouldn't be able to compete. Google has set the standards for search engines in how things get ranked and continually improving with the panda updates.

All Facebook could do is copy off Google like Google+ copied off of Facebook.

powerofcollege 03-06-2012 07:17 PM

Google and Facebook ( Fb) will continue to duke it out over the top spot in

the display ad market. Mark social network remain's one of the main competitive risks to google's absolute

dominance of the Internet.

shivshakti 03-10-2012 09:52 PM

I want to tell you that No One can beat Google. Google is the most preferable search engine. Nither facebook Nor all Internet sites can beat Google.
