Do Use Stumbleupon?

I read lately that stumbleupon is a good way to generate interest/traffic to a site.

Do any of you use it and what is your method?

I'm finding it difficult to promote.

I spent a tiny bit on advertising just to see what would happen. In every case the visitor came in on a cell phone, and there was very little "stickiness" in the traffic.

I did get some later traffic that I suspect was people who had bookmarked my website and came back to it later.

I think how effective it is depends on what kind of site you run, and what your goals are.

Yes, I'm using StumbleUpon as part of our marketing campaign. You can submit your site or blog's link on their relevant category. Then of course, you also have to be active by following like-minded stumblers. You can also submit other interesting web pages and not just yours as this can help you to get more followers, keep you in good standing with their TOS, and help you establish your good reputation in their community.

Its very easy how you can say it is difficult. Just signup and then start it there is a bar appear on your browser you just do to like it. But i like to use LinkedIn that give me tons of traffic and new visitor too.

Yes, I do use stumbleupon, it works to bring some visitors to my blog. If you want to use it on a blog, just install plugins like shareholic.

I have my sites listed with stumbleupon but don't pay for marketing on any services. I generally use it myself to just stumble on sites I like myself. Don't think I get any traffic from it really.

Should have also said that occasionally I stumble on a site that is good for promoting my products on - lie the other day, I found http://www.wanelo.com/ that is similar to pinterest, so stared an account to pin some of my products - and discovered a bunch of people there had already done some pinning of my sites on their own

Yes I use it, it gives me more visitors but sad to say it doesn't convert.

I used stumbleupon last 2008 and 2009. But this time, it wasn't work well now on my site that's why I stop using it.

Now I am using Stumbleupon. And I think it is a nice site for you to promote your products and drive more visitors. You can add your links to the relevant category.

I usually use stumble upon and got a lot of benefits and traffic. It gives my website a good support to stay my website keywords upon the SERP.

I am also using stumble upon. It is a good site for social bookmarking. it can give us a great traffic for our site.

i used stumble for my new site but then stopped because the bounce rate was high....my site's bounce rate is <35%. i used 2 links in stumble and received 44 visitors and bounce rate was 77%....then stopped...probably i did something wrong....or submitted in an inappropriate category...

i get good amount of traffic from StumbleUpon.

For simple and easy submission of stumbleupon you can use plugin,or you can promote your site without plugin also.
