Myspace has huge groups into near enough every niche you can think of, health, games, beauty, music, movies, lesbian etc etc everything can be marketed to them not just kids stuff because theres tons of adults on myspace aswell. Do a search for any given age group, gender your always going to get the max 3000 people found each of them online aswell so they are active.

I have a band promotion service, so the advertising works for me. All I do is simply add people (mostly bands), they say 'thanks for the add', and I comment them back, then add a link at the end. It works. But if you have a real state business or something, forget about it.

Does myspace build an inbound link to your website?

Might be worth setting up a page for SEO purposes if you can build links using your own anchor text.

I think it all depends on what you're trying to promote, just like anything else. I'll be using MySpace to promote my radio show starting around the end of July/beginning of August. The school I go to has a lot of people who use MySpace. Just post something on the message board that says to visit my site and listen to my show, and there's a lot of people who will see it.

No, I would't want to advertise much else like this. But I wouldn't want to advertise for PETA at the local gun club either.
