Is there any proof that some anti virus and OS companies developing or creating virus because if you think the fact that how can they sell there antivirus software if there is not virus that can affect your own pc

I have heard about this before.
Could be a conspiracy theory, could be fact. But if they got found out doing it.. their credibility would be gone.

I sometimes think that when a new malware comes along and only something I never heard of before can remove it.
Rational mind prevailing in the end, I don't really think so.
Good post though.

hmmmn... why not? I mean any company would be in the business of creating a need. What more wonderful way for an antivirus company to create a need than to launch a virus?

I heard of this too, before but I never had evidence to prove it. It could be possible though. I have some theories on how they do it but I might as well keep them to myself.

It is really a big possibility. But we can't point fingers if we don't have the right evidence.
So if that is true, I guess it is what we call "business"

This is true. Not all viruses, but enough for offering constant update....

Some say, they also hire the best "hacker" or virus programmer to make them a virus and market their product as the ONLY software that can remove the virus. So, i guess it is possible. Although still, no proof

So you think companies like Symantec are responsible for high threat viruses that disable millions of computers and networks around the world?

It could be possible. But as of now, we got to find a way if there are all behind the spread of virus in the internet.

for me it's has a high possibility. It makes a logical sense, in terms of marketing your product. Isn't antivirus and virus built the same way? They both infiltrate your computer the same way. It's just like a black hat vs. white hat. So what makes us think that anti-virus company are not capable of creating a virus on their own. But that's just me talking.

I suspect that if penalty upon conviction was ten lashes with a cane in the public square without 27 years of appeals, there would be a lot less people doing this after the first sentence being carried out was shown on TV in prime time.
Sorry that is just the way I feel.

I suppose they create viruses at least partially. The greater part of viruses lurking on the internet are made by Antivirus Companies, otherwise, we wouldn't need to update so often.

It is already a fact in my place, some antivirus companies produce tons of virus .
As the internet develops, they make less and less severe virus .

Yes, I'm definitely with you on this. Come on, let's think of something, it's a major business out there and they tend to gain after all.

There are enough hackers, crackers and script kiddies out there to produce tens of thousands of virii and malware.
These larger antivirus companies make millions of dollars a year with their antivirus and antimalware products.
Why would they jeopardize that by getting caught creating malware? It makes no sense.
