How to transfer large file?
I need to share large file with friend of mine. How to do that?
I was recomended to use file sharing service hyperfileshare.com. And some files were shared with no problem.
How can I do that in another way as well, or I can stay with the solution I have now?

There is a way to copy files to an ip address via the dos prompt. I was walked through it many years ago on win2k. I sent a zip file to a bud in Florida from Rhode Island. I'm not sure if you can still do it on XP or even vista for that matter but might be worth a google.
Otherwise a thirdparty file sharing service is about as good as it gets without using some software to directly connect to the other user, even through IM.

Have you tried to use torrent? Rapidshare and other file hosting site needs payment for you to upload large files.

Rapidhshare Doesnt Charge You For Uploading Big Files As 100mb,
More Bigger Then That You Should Have A premium Account,
To Op If The File Is larger Then 100mb try Doing parts of It,
There are Some Sites Like Sendspace And mediafire try them

you can transfer it through msn, which isn't very fast (depending on your connections) and can sometimes randomly drop. If you do upload 'parts' on sites like rapidshare and megaupload, be sure you know how to do it, it can get pretty confusing

I don't know if uploadind on 3rd party website it wil be the solution.
You can use old mirc (help about transfering files using mirc you can find on google), oDC, or any P2P sharing software.

As far as I know hyperfileshare have limits up to 250MB!!
I believe that is more then enough. In any case you can devide large file on smaller pieces

I use a file sharing service called sendthisfile.com. I'm pretty sure you can send any size file, but just be warned that with a free account, it's pretty slow and you're limited to 3 per day. But it is a way to send very large files, if that's what you're looking for.

Go down to wal-mart or best buy, and purchase a "Passport" external hard drive. The last ones I saw were 250 - 500 gigs.
Copy all of the files over to the Passport and mail it to your friend.

Why not turn your PC into an FTP server? There's lots of free FTP servers out there. Just Google it.
Set up an account for who you're transfering the file to (or make an public, anonymous account), give them the login details, and wallah!
It's always better to set up your own solution versus a 3rd party solution
