Well it's because FireFox is safer, faster and has more useful add-ons especially for SEO's.

I use it because of its speed. Specially for javascript enabled site, the results are better than any browsers. Safari is also good but not as Firefox.

I've used Firefox basically since its inception, and love it. I usually "test run" new builds of browsers to see what new bells and whistles they have, but Firefox maintains the top spot in my rotation.

Firefox is an ease with opening multiple tabs but one negative point is that it consumes a lot of CPU resources..Quite possible if you are using multiple addons..! Still a browser that is worldwide recommended.

I also prefer IE. IE 8 looks good. I only use FF for layout testing.

Firefox is more reliable and has less page errors when I use it. it allows me to get onto more site with less hassle! IE is OK too, I'm still learning how to use FF after so many years of using IE. Know any good short cut lists for FF?

I only use it due to lack of available options with the other browsers. Each one seems to have quirks that you can either live with or not, Firefox seems to be the best all around browser experience for me.
Of course this is only by the narrowest of margins. If Opera had better handling of multiple account logins on the same domain, I'd dump Firefox all together and only use it to check my site for errors (like I do with IE).

In the past, I had the same question that you have. I use to do coding, site development and other things and I used IE. My friends suggested that FF if a must for me but I did not knew why they are saying this.
After I myself used FF, I found that my friends were right. For a normal user, I do not know what is the benefit FF offer but for coders, site developers, webmasters, FF is the best option.
The plugins that FF offer are alone enough to choose it.
