I know FF will win this race..but IE8 can change the result. The extensions are GREAT. I believe that FireFox is faster, more secure and customizable for serfing the web

I use Firefox because it works fast and efficient. Aside from this, I like its additional cool plug-ins. I find them useful for my work as an SEO.

I'll agree that Firefox more often than not can render a webpage faster but IE certainly uses less RAM (at least IE 7 does).

I use it just for submitting directory listings... But preferably, I'll stick to Opera, it's much better and faster than FireSucks(FireFox)...

Internet Explorer is a dangerously insceure, technically obsolete, and a sub standard HTML renderer, that does not correctly conform to recognised web standards and internet protocols. To all intents and purposes, it effectively ignores the most fundamental protocol of the web, that being the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. If all browsers were to ignore HTTP like IE does, the web would essentially descend into utter chaos.
And, to reiterate what has been said before...
Internet Explorer is not a browser, it's an operating system component.

I agree with you,I like Firefox very much, its function is very strong, and it is easy to use.

Firefox is much more popular because of security reason. In today's remote accessing era security breach is the main danger for users. Firefox has less security bug & tight schedule to disclose them. Security is tight due to it's better bug reporting system and exclusion of VBScript/ActiveX, which often leads to vulnerabilities.

I only use Firefox for testing and logging in to a second account on some sites. For my main browser I use Safari, which I know is a huge resource hog... but I like the way it handles bookmarks and the topsites view...

IMO, FF would not be faster than IE, especially on the first time to startup it.
But I like to use for there are so many add-ons for it and help me a lot in my life and work.

I prefer Firefox over IE because it is less buggy, more secure and has great add-ons for pretty much everything I need. I especially like ad and script blocking add-ons which let me allow/deny sites explicitly.
