Why Do You Use Firefox?
I know the number of people who use Firefox has been growing while the number of those who use IE has been shrinking.
I don't get this thing about Firefox. I prefer IE. Some say Firefox is faster, but I never noticed the difference. One thing I don't like about Firefox is that when a large image is being loaded or a large page is loaded, the loading is not very smooth. IE loads pages very smoothly.
If you love Firefox, what are your main reasons?

Firefox has a lot of additional things that IE simply does not, and the vulnerabilities in it are patched on a regular basis.
As it stands, I have a number of plugins in FF that make my digital life a hell of a lot easier than they ever could be in IE, such as bridging between Keepass, Domaintools add ons, script blockers, adsense blockers, etc.

There are a lot of plug-ins in FireFox that is very useful in doing SEO.
I have to agree with you with the image page load issue though.

In the past, I've had some trouble with IE navigating through some web sites.
For me, IE is difficult to work with in general.
I've never had any problems or compatibility issues with Firefox.
I like Firefox because I find it easier to use.

1. Firefox is undoubtedly faster.
2. Firefox is undoubtedly safer.
3. Firefox renders page's to a better visual standard.
4. Firefox has more add-on's and plugin's available.
5. Intenet Explorer isn't even technically qualified to be called a browser.
Internet Explorer is a dangerously insceure, technically obsolete, and a sub standard HTML renderer, that does not correctly conform to recognised web standards and internet protocols. To all intents and purposes, it effectively ignores the most fundamental protocol of the web, that being the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. If all browsers were to ignore HTTP like IE does, the web would essentially descend into utter chaos.
And, to reiterate what has been said before...
Internet Explorer is not a browser, it's an operating system component.

Based on the different speeds you can get for DSL internet access. I think Firefox transfers data faster than Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome. Because it does just that -transfer data. To me transferring the data is faster than actually downloading the webpage (images) to a temp file like IE does. Firefox almost looks like it turns a webpage into a flash format, so the images aren't temporally downloaded. Making the page come up faster.

My reasons for using Firefox are like most of those who have posted here. Faster, safer, way more efficient.
You can customize Firefox to any theme you like as well as usability. You can install addons that apply to your every day needs.
Internet Explorer? Sure its developing quite nicely, but unfortunately too late. Even Google Chrome is more advanced than Internet Explorer.
But hey, if you want to keep on using IE go ahead. But as the posts here have declared, FF will serve you better.

It is also less susceptible to viruses.
