nothing shows up on the computer screen

Once I turn on the computer, nothing shows up on the screen; not even the bios. So I formated the hard-drive, and still not even the bios shows up, and the monitor doesnt get off sleep mode. What is wrong with my computer?????

Try to reset your video card and the memory of your computer, maybe it can help you.

hmm...when you open it does it make a "tick" sound, like (your monitor just turned off on itself sound) if it does..had that same encounter..chances are, its either your video card or mother board issues.. try to replace it with other working-videocard.. if it doesnt work..probably you need to change your mother board..btw, how old is your computer and specs?

I'm sure of one thing, the cable from your monitor to your avr is busted. It's time to change that cable dude...
Video cards sometimes still work even if you know it's broken. They just show some freaky annoying colored lines and then goes off.

Unplug the Monitor from CPU , if you get a error on Monitor , then your vdo card is fine and you need to chk the Monitor Itself

you formatted the hard drive without showing anything on the screen?
wew that's cool, you're great.

Try re-unplug all power oulet, re-set all cards, then test your power supply. Test all your hardware if necessary with another PC.
