What’s New in Firefox 3.5
Firefox 3.5 is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform, which has been under development for the past year. Firefox 3.5 offers many changes over the previous version, supporting new web technologies, improving performance and ease of use. Some of the notable features are:
* Available in more than 70 languages.
* Support for the HTML5 <video> and <audio> elements including native support for Ogg Theora encoded video and Vorbis encoded audio.
* Improved tools for controlling your private data, including a Private Browsing Mode.
* Better web application performance using the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine.
* The ability to share your location with websites using Location Aware Browsing.
* Support for native JSON, and web worker threads.
* Improvements to the Gecko layout engine, including speculative parsing for faster content rendering.
* Support for new web technologies such as: downloadable fonts, CSS media queries, new transformations and properties, JavaScript query selectors, HTML5 local storage and offline application storage, <canvas> text, ICC profiles, and SVG transforms.

I wonder if they got rid of or made a setting optional for the automatic queries in the url lists, as that is one really disappointed me in FF3.

Just installed it, and saw my first native embedded plugin-free video with HTML 5
I think the feature was already implemented since a previous version but now they added more open formats.
All my previous addons still work, had to upgrade Firebug to a beta version because the previous stable was unsupported by FF 3.5.

Thanks for the heads up - I'll be sure to upgrade tonight before I hit the sheets.

Yup. ;/
Took me less than 10 seconds to load up FF2 after a reboot, takes me like three times as long to do it with FF3.5...and I've got a dual core processor.

Kinda interesting though, I would still love to try it and hopefully it'll not be like FireFox III that crashes most of the time
I can take the reload time after rebooting as long as it's still fast when loading sites even with several addons installed in it.

I reverted back to Firefox 2 a while ago because 3 just sucked wayyyy too much, especially on multiple accounts with the same username and differing passwords.
By the sounds of what I've read here I'll likely pass on 3.5 as well.

30 seconds to do a cold boot of Firefox?!
how many addons do you have? it might not be the browser's fault. I have 12 addons and the browser is up cold in just a few seconds, didn't measure it though.
