Windows 7 experience

I believe many of people are now trying Windows 7. Which feature do you like most in Windows 7 in compare to Windows server 2008?.

Please share your experience.

I doubt you will find any comparison point, since WS2008 is used as a server while W7 is targeted for particular and professional end users.

If you are going to use Windows 7 as a server that can cause you some troubles due to the lack of features and bad performance.

Windows 7 as a desktop, is poorly made and tries to make up for its problems and hungry OS with fancy effects which not only annoy the user, but use up even more resources.

As for a server, I would never use windows as a server, its too vunerable. Normally I see a higher pricetag as a symbol of security and quality, such as with Adobe Photoshop. But when it come's to OS, especially for a server enviroment, your best off with the free one, linux. Usually Fedore Core.

So, would I give windows 7 a chance at being the OS for my sites server..... not a chance in hell!

Windows 7 is specially designed to make your PC simpler. Here things are easier which you do. It is good OS.

I strongly disagree with that, I have not tested the latest build but I did use several Beta Builds. Its vista with a new GUI basically.

Ubuntu Linux is EASIER to use than Windows.

I'm going to close this thread because like Hades already said, asking for comparisons between W7 and s2008 is not going to net any results, well, except windows bashing. Which is more a result of there not being a point to this thread than anything else.

kthxbye.
