Locating or Creating an Image Location Code

I am new to web design. I just created an image that is saved on my hard drive using my Logo Design software and I would like to display it on one of my webpages. I just uploaded the image to my FTP server using my Go Daddy account. However, I cannot find the location code for that image to make it display on my website. How can I locate or create the location code? Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. The problem that I am having is that I don't know the location code of my image. I don't know where to find it or if I somehow need to assign the image a code. With images located on the Internet, all I did was right click on the image to copy the location path. However, my image is not on the Internet. I just created it using my Logo software and I uploaded it to my FTP server using my Go Daddy account. Do you have any suggestions in how to locate or create this code for my image? Thanks.

If you don't remember the location of the image, then how about you upload the image again via FTP to a location of your choice?

Like, you can create a folder "images" in your domain and then via FTP, upload images to this folder. Then you can open the images via yoursiteURL.com/images/imagename.gif

You might want to consult the GoDaddy help files on FTP'ing your content and your hosting directory structure or check with a webadmin panel.

I can't make any sense of what you're saying other than you have an image, ftp'ed it and cant find it. If you sent it up, it's there. Why not try and send it up again and see where it goes?

I agree with and use angilina's approach and have an image directory is the public html portion of my sites. The reason is that this is an organized approch and keeps all images in one place.

Godaddy by default logs ftp users into the main directory of their hosting account (the public part). Why don't you simply connect to your account and look for the file you uploaded. If you were sucessful in the upload the file should be there.

yoursitename/imagename.gif should display the file it it is there.
