Given the surfeit -  - of information we have to work with, perhaps the suggestion to get a new computer would be in order.

- Browsers(s) used, including version(s)
- Amount of installed RAM
- Size of Hard Drive and amount of Free Space
- Size of Swap File
- Nature of slow-down; i.e., occurred over time or suddenly
- Scope of slow-down; i.e., observed on all applications or only certain ones
