No browser is the fastest for all tasks.
For which is Chrome the faster? And, slower for which?

Firefox is more secure and stable, i love it. I use it for testing and web development. However i also enjoy Chrome for general browsing and on slower machines it seems to be more resource friendly. I use both and like having 2 different browsers for different purposes.

For me it is:
Chrome for my Android phone and Jelly Bean and Firefox for my PC.
Chrome is faster than Firefox, but Firefox looks good.

Both Firefox and Chrome are brilliant browsers. I like Chrome for it's simplicity and ease of web browsing, and I like Firefox for it's addons like Firebug, and it's looks.
