Why do you need a 22" monitor? Just curious. I have a couple 19" monitors and they work okay for me. In fact, I didn't mind the 17" monitors. ...

I have a Xerox 17" flat panel, and the thing has great color, clarity. Great price too.

well, i would never use a TFT screen for fast games, their refresh rates are like half of a CRT - ideally you wanna be playing at 120hz i'd say.

Well cant have it all, my box is on for a lot of hours at the time, so I want to save a lot on power by going TFT

I could go for one of the 3ms displays but they dont handel color that well so the one I listed looks like it is the best compromise at the moment

yeah for quake, fear, and unreal you might notice a difference

17inch CRT for HL and Quake

and a 19 inch LCD (18ms response) for counterstrike

works well

Don't quote me on this ricoool, but from when I last read up on it, responce times are no where near industry standard, which means it is up to the manufacturer to "make" up their own tests. That being said, you just can't even really use the times as a guage to know. The best thing to do would be to go out and view the screen at a store and have them run a game to see which ones look best in person, and then go online and order on to get the best deal. I have 2 sharp 17in 12ms screens and one 18ms viewsonic 19in screen and the 19in screen out performs the 12ms ones. Also, as equally important is the color contrast ratio and that also has no standard. Even with all of that, you will never reach the levels that a decent crt can handle.

Yeah I know that is why I look at the specs. from toms hardware guide, they have there own test, only drawback is that they dont test all new monitors, but with the tests they do you can compare them.

So I did end up getting the monitor listet in the first thread, office work is good and gaming is good, has a little blue haze somtimes, but hey when you are driving at 200+ km/h in nfsmw ....., I am a little disapointed when I do graphics work ...... buhu I want my old monitor, but the old monitor is going, the image shakes a bit and the view area is getting narrow, lost about 1,5 cm on the left and right side :-(
I am thinking of maybe getting an extra monitor (CTR) .... but it will take up a lot of space and then the price will up there if I buy one that can display colors correct.
