Has anyone gotten this virus/spyware?
I've been having trouble with a virus or spyware .. it's something I've heard of before, but never gotten.. it puts files in temporary internet files that cause a lot of popups, icq sounds, and pops open my cdrom. I suspect it orginated from a spyware eradication company named mailwiper but I can't be sure.. anyone else get this?

I had it before on my work computer. It took a while of using spyware removers, deleting temp internet files and fixing registry entries to fix it. I don't remember exactly what we did, though.

it frees space on ur hard drive and uses government recommeded number of passes ie 7 to make data un-retreivable by writing random 0's and 1's to clusters or something similar but its good for porn
