Skype Adds More Facebook Features

Good news for Skype user's. If you like Facebook then get a load of this bit of news. If you use Skype and Facebook as part of your business then i hope you are in a much better mood on this hot monday afternoon.

Skype‘s beta version 5.5 of its desktop software for Windows adds even more Facebook extras to its already deep integration with the social network.

In the new version, out Monday, Skype for Windows users can instant message their Facebook friends via Skype, “like” and comment on friends’ Facebook status updates without logging into Facebook and view all their Facebook contacts in a new Facebook-dedicated contacts tab.

I don't care because i don't use Skype. lol

I'm curious to see if Rob Jones will respond to this, i know he use's Skype.

I use the Linux version of Skype, but these updates are only for the Windows version right?

Not long before Microsoft adds them in to the Linux version.

At last it happened and now I can take conversation without Facebook logging in. But it seems to be rather effective commercial step from Skype and Facebook, because it's really convenient.

They should make the Facebook stuff optional, like some of the features of Skype like Skype Extras, the browser addons...Facebook junk should be an optional install. :/

I'm guessing they do with the amount of members that facebook has. Skype is under new management and i guess testing out new features to see how they work with there member base.

To bad there is no poll anywhere online to vote on these changes. lol

pretty much useless in my opinion!
i would prefer using Facebook on my browser then on a 400 x 400 skype window!

for mobile users, everyone has facebook app installed separately

That is not such interesting feeling actually its opposite would be more favorable because Facebook is not just about posting on wall but Skype is just about calling and texting. So that would be more affective if will ever done
