I'm using firefox now because I stupidly installed IE 7 which takes up more resources than windows itself (only joking) It's still really slow though so Firefox is better for me

Firefox.
Its kind of funny, when ever I'm working with tables on html, or anything like that it always comes out right on firefox, but a little screwy on IE.
I think firefox is far superior.

I use Firefox. I've tried Opera, and if I had tried it before Firefox I might be using that. But once I get comfortable with something I tend to stick with it.
But as far as what's the best, it really depends on what you're doing. If you like custimizing your stuff than Firefox or Opera is the way to go. You can have it do whatever you want.
If you're not as technically inclined or just don't care, I'd suggest IE (unless you know what you want and someone who can fix up FF/O for you). IE has better default settings. It's really not even close. I'm not sure about Opera, but I don't know a single person who runs Firefox without at least one extension or a different theme.

The best for what though? Maybe for someone like you who knows how to take advantage of all the features. But if my grandparents got the internet I would recomend IE for them.

In term of useability (for grandparents, et al) I would stil choose firefox over IE. It is the same to use but has the option to expand functions with extensions. People in the group would not have to add extensions if they did not wish to.

But she still makes fun of my dad.

really though.
Firefox is better... even more so for people who know nothing about the internet. As they are the ones that are most likely to go to pages where IE exploits take place.

Preaching to the choir. Or at least a soprano...
Regardless, back when I used "FyreFaerie" i used to love these threads. FF against the evil IE. I usually won.

I <3 Opera on slow computers. Firefox takes way too long to boot on my Windows 98 computer and IE won't run, because it wants me to install a non-existant modem (I use Wifi), so it just error messages at me the whole time.

Firefox is a bit juicy, IE is useful for testing for the masses, Opera 9 has nice widgets.

my security is kinda loosey
I heard from JamieJelly
