suddenly can't copy and paste in Firefox
This is very annoying, and I've been looking all over Google and nothing's fixing it.
Basically I cannot copy anything in Firefox, today. Never happened before.
So I went and updated Firefox to 1.5.2 and restarted it and it didn't fix it.
Any ideas?

Are you only using right mouse clicks? I had that problem once and it worked when I used CTRL C and CTRL V . Just a thought.

I've tried everything. It's weird, it worked one minute, then didn't the next. I see all over Google that it's a known bug, but it doesn't happen to a lot of people, so why me. I use copy/paste a lot.

I find that problem sometimes with FireFox.
If you Ctrl C and then Ctrl V it doesn't work but if you select the text and then right mouse click to copy and the same to paste it, it works.
Bit sporadic like that sometimes.
Also, if you're using XP, close down FireFox and then Ctrl + Alt + Delete and shut down the Firefox service.
Re-open FireFox and try again.

I guess I'll just have to live with a broken Firefox. Nothing's working. I forgot to stand on one leg and stick out my tongue though.

Is it not a memory issue?
I know sometimes that I right click and copy and/or ctrl c & v and it doesn't copy.

Is it only Firefox that won't let you copy? Did you try other apps? With or without the tongue?

Just out of curiosity, can you cut some text from here and paste it into notepad?
I know you said copy and paste doesn't work but I was just wondering if that worked.

Zap, I can copy and paste in anything else, I can copy in something else and paste it in Firefox.
G10, I tried and it copies nothing and pastes nothing.

Looking at the Mozilla forum, it seems to be happening with a few others also.
Copy & Paste Issue
Post it there also Colleen as the more they get, the quicker they fix.

It looks like people have been reporting the problem since the end of November, so it doesn't look like it's going to be fixed soon.
@Queen Colleen: If you just noticed this problem today and yesterday was fine, try a System Restore in XP to yesterday's date. It's worth a shot.

My last restore point was the 12th, but that fixed it!
Thanks Zap! I should have thought of that.

The update didn't break it for me, it did it on it's own, I didn't even know there was an update until it broke and I checked and the update didn't even fix it. Thank God for system restore.
