Launching help in applications - not

Hi

I'm running XP Pro on my pc with large memory and clean of bugs and spyware. Starting several weeks ago I have been unable to open any help files from the Help buttons in any of my applications - Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Outlook etc. I searched the MS XP forum and some of the application vendors forums with no luck. I expect its a corrupt or missing system file but I haven't the foggiest of which one and how to replace/repair it. Can anyone give me some help on this exotic problem?

Thanks

Do you mean pressing F1 / using the Help-Menu? Did you already try doubleclicking a .hlp file?
