i have just installed Viber to my smartphone and seriuosly - this is so awsome. I can have a normal conversation with my friend for free whenever I want - skype will be so out of adte soon. I am mega happy now - you should try it out as well..

Just a quick question. I haven't used it yet, but it is only available from smartphone to smartphone? Or can you call a landline?

The Viber service is only available between 2 Viber users at this stage. Meaning you could use Viber between anyone who has an iPhone, Android, iPod or an iPad (and soon also Blackberry and Nokia devices).

Viber already works on iTouch 4
Install it from AppStore, and try it out.

When asked for a number for registration, you'll need a different number than the one you registered on your iPhone (otherwise it will automatically deactivate the account you already have on your iPhone). You could use your landline number in order to receive the code, an old cellphone number, a family member's number, etc.

What exactly do you mean? I'm not sure I quite understand..
Viber for Blackberry is not available yet. However, in order to register your iTouch, you need a real phone number to receive the code, as I explained above.

That is something we are considering to add in the future (along with many other new upcoming features).

I use Viber to call my brother in Japan, iPhone to iPhone.
It works great.
