There’s an app for that.” How many times have we all heard that phrase during the past couple of years? Allow me to put it into better perspective for you. During the last week of 2011, 1.2 billion apps were downloaded, with 242 million apps being downloaded on Christmas day alone. While that number may seem staggering, it is even more so when one considers that less than 11 billion apps were downloaded in all of 2010. Add to that the fact that it is predicted that the number of mobile apps offered by companies will increase by a factor of 10 in 2012, and it is clear that the public’s App-etite is clearly uncontrollable.

FACT: As of December 2011, there were....

Any thoughts? (I'm going to download another App actually. lmao)

Nothing is free in this business world. Either they will collect the info and use it for other purposes or display ads while using the app and cover the costs. Now everyone is trying to do the same. There is no exception.....

Yup mobile advertising is going to be the next big thing. Even though many apps are free...they all have one thing in common...advertising.

This is true.

I download free apps a lot and when i get tired of the ads, I upgrade the app for a one time fee. That's what makes the App developers the big money. Stick up adsense on the app to earn a few bucks daily and also have a upgrade option to remove them.

Last year i got a $25 itunes gift card and i used it all up upgrading all the apps i had on my phone at that time. lol
