BlackBerry and What's App are different mobile messengers. Here, BlackBerry messenger is limited to BlackBerry phones, but what's app messenger is multi-platform messengers which support all major smartphones like iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone. In my view, Blackberry messenger is best for BB users and what's is is best for other smartphone users.

I'd say Blackberry Messenger is better because the service is faster and the phones can do alot more.

I think Blackberry Messenger is good because WhatsApp is derived form Blackberry Messenger, it is not the original. And Blackberry Messenger has some unique features that WhatsApp don't have. Blackberry Messenger is free for blackberry users, but WhatsApp is only a 1 year trial version. After one year we have to pay for it, but Blackberry Messenger is free with Blackberry Internet Service.

I love iMessage for iPhones, but yeah I also use WhatsApps it does a good job however it is no good if you have no internet access (a problem for some people in rural areas)

both of them are best but the blackberry messenger is only for the blackberry users and the whatsapp is for all users and any smart mobiles so whatsapp is better than blackberry messenger.

I really like Watsapp messenger. It requires your phone number to be registered once and you can use it with any phone with Internet connectivity. Blackberry messenger is nice but one must have a blackberry phone to send or receive messages.

Definitely BBM. It's not even close. They have a faster service overall and easier to use, I mean much user-friendly than it is for whatsup. Viber isn't too shabby as well.

Why are you comparing something together that actually they shouldn't be compared? BBM is only meant for BlackBerry. So even if it happen to be so good, yet you can't use it on say an iPhone.

whatsapp is free and cross platform so you can text anyone with iphone ,Android BB or Nokia where as BBM is limited to only BB and also you need to activate the BBM service which incurs extra charge.
