I had some advice about a year ago when i bought my 50" tv. the guy mentioned that anything bigger than a 42" tv is best to be a plasma. anything upto 42" is best to be L.E.D.
I ended up buying a plasma and its EPIC!!!

I think Plasma TV is best because it picture clarity is very high and less power usage and we can use internet through wifi. And we can watch videos with high clarity through you tube so I go with Plasma. It is little bit cost but it has more features than others.

Don't buy Plasma, they reflect like a mirror and it's quite annoying... go LCD for this reason.

I prefer LED over Plasma due to several reasons. Power consumption of LED is very less, it has higher contrast ratio (mostly) and response time is also faster than plasma, also interesting to know that LED has longer life as compared with Plasma.

I need to update this thread with what I actually did.
After a good bit of research, I went with a 120HZ LED LCD with an auto adjusting back lit display. It works very well in a bright room with three north facing skylights. We have drapes on the windows but the skylights are open all the time.
One thing I did learn and will post here even though the information is out there on a 1000 web sites, was don't fall for the store salesman's line of BS that a 120HZ TV needs a $59 120HZ cable. The upgrade to 120 takes place within the set. The exact same data is transferred from the source to the set whether it is 120HZ or 60HZ. There is no 120HZ cable standard. You could spend $180.00 for 3 cables at the store or buy them off Ebay for $6.00 including S&H.
Do you need more than one guess to decide which I did?
Over 50" you might want to study the Plasma vs. LED LCD issue a bit more than I did. My research was specific to sets under 50".

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is much much better than plasma. It gives a crystal clear
picture after all its a new technology.

Late to the party - sorry.
Absolutely. I have a Plasma (5 years) which still has amazing HD resolution, but is behind with the blur/motion features. Today, I'd go with a new LED for the crisp rendering, space savings (they are really thin!), but a big part of the decision is based on reduced amount of "heat" which this plasma generates. Nice in the winter, but hot in the summer.

it depend on your investment.if it is high then go for plasma or else better go for LED than LCD because LED will have more picture quality, power consuming than LCD. LED wont accept much game features than LCD

Hi guys
I have Sony LED(HD)and i think it's 52". Image is so clear that it is amazing. Sometimes I fell like it's better than live image
Before we had a CRT "oldschool" which was ok but this is really amazing so I personally highly recommend to all the TV lovers.
I think LED TVs and monitors are better for eyes than CRT and LCD.
I think LCD and LED last longer than plasma.
When I have money I will probably buy projector cause that is my favorite

The real use of the 120hz is for 3D but we only have limited TV that has a 3D function I don't know why they included 120hz on a normal TV where in 60hz is normal for everyday use and you wouldn't really notice the difference of it. However, Plasma right now is really good where in they already improve such as power consumptions, burned-in problems, i guess those are gone now in present day. Plasma TV are really good in picture quality where in you have good blacks and also good for the eyes and not too bright. They were really meant for TV viewing or Movie only seldom use in gaming. And still really depends on the users eyes if you would choose a TV its like beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I prefer LED Monitors because of its efficiency, Plasma is good but it generate more heat and its not that efficient, specially if your on a budget constraint.

+1 for plasma if you want to watch movies with a really deep black color. I own Panasonic TX-PR50G20 and happy with it. But it's not energy-efficient at all.

Plasma is out-of-date and has a lot of disadvantages - it consumes a lot of energy and generates too much heat and a lot of others (for example, burned out pixel on a plasma will look like a small flashlight), the best way is to buy LED LCD TV with IPS matrix - picture is just amazing and it is possible to buy not so very expensive. Believe my experience - I worked in consumer electronics shop for several years and saw a lot of various TV's.

I go with LED as well, but this is an answer to a six month old question. Maybe, I'd have said LCD 6 moth ago. V7N is one of the greatest forums I've seen. I came across lines such as "and God created ...", mentioned in earlier post. You guys are knowledgeable and fun.
