Before people start going nuts telling you to buy this software or download this free guide...etc Let's get information from you.

What type of laptop do you own.

What Model ?

Brand... HP, Dell...etc

What current operating system are you running?

Basically you need to tell us all about this laptop so we can pull it up online and look at information so we can then figure the easiest things to try first that would cost you no money.

Do you know how to find out what type of processor you have/the speed. How much memory is installed and hard drive size.

Why do you think the laptop is not running at full speed like it was when you first unboxed it and plugged it in.

The more information from you the more suggestion can be given. Sometimes is a hardware issue as in upgrade certain parts inside the laptop and sometimes it could be certain programs installed on the laptop that's causing problems.

Do you have a virus protection software constanly running and if so, when was the last time you ran a full scan of the whole laptop? You could have a virus on your laptop that is the cause of the lagging performace. If you do, tell us so when can then tell you how to properly remove all of it. There is a lot of things I can think of to suggest to you that could make a laptop run like it was brand new out of the box. I don't like guessing, If I have enough information, I'll give my expert advice on what I would do myself.

IF you computer is slow than a lot of the time its because of adware / spyware. If you get rid of all the junk most probably your computer will increase performance without needing to upgrade spec

Thread creator has not been back here since creating the thread. Going to lock it as mentioned by myself, we need more details before guessing.
