If they do not work, the only solution is to buy a new keyboard for your laptop and install it. Some keyboards are hard to plug in because of the ribbon so it might be best to buy the keyword for your laptop model online like from Amazon because you get low price's on there and go to a computer repair shop or any computer place that can install it.

This way you pay for labor charges and not for parts because you got a good price on one already. It's like a 10 minute job not even to remove and install one. Depends on the laptop model though when removing the old one.

Thanks for the update.

I've replaced thousands of keywords on all laptop brands and models over the years at work. You wouldn't believe the dirt and sticky residue I found under the keyboard from people eating and drinking over it.. That's one way to kill your keyboard faster.

you need to clean your keyboard. If it still not working. Go to computer shop and let them fix it.

Another member had posted with a similar problem and replaced the keyword which fixed it.

Cleaning the top of the keyboard fix's no issues but just shines up the keyboard. To do a deep clean of the keyboard, here what I'd do at work.

I remove the keyboard, disconnect it carefully not to break the connection and then used compressed air can to blow out under the keyboard, then the whole keyboard it's self. I then inspect under the keyboard (system board) and see if I can see any clues for drink spillage or anything else wrong. If no damange under there and I know for a fact that replacing the keyboard is the fix. Before we return laptops to clients, we have a inhouse built-in diagnostics program we run a full scan to spot potential issue's to tell the client about. Might as well fix all issues in one service.

When key's stop working... it's a new keyboard that is needed. Now if you know you have eaten over the keyboard and well spilled something on it... even if it's a tiny bit of liquid, yes the keyboard needs to be replaced but the inside of the laptop should be cleaned out by a professional to prevent any future issues from coming up.

This is what us professionals do at work. We go out of our way to make sure it's perfect and when we remove parts, we inspect all exposed area's for any type of damage to then fix it.

You can replace laptop keywords by yourself if you have a very small phillips screwdriver.

You an find youtube videos of how to take one apart or search the user's manual.

That won't fix a keyword at all.

There is only a small possibility for a laptop keyboard to work again normal. It's the dirtiest part of you laptop. But you can give it a try before throw it away.

Clean your keyboard with compressed air (always use it at vertical position) and a toothbrush. After removing any dirt, you can use a special electronic contact cleaner spray. This staff is almost liquid. You have to use it of course on the keyboard removed from your laptop. Spray underneath the keys, on even better if its possible, on the backside of the keyboard. After spraying it, lay it on the desk and start pressing all the keys many times for about 5 minutes. Now let it try for one day or two and test it on your laptop.

If the above doesn't work, then it time to buy a new one.

PS: Always test and clean the keyboard ribbon and the keyboard port on you laptop. A hair or dust can make a keyboard work in a funny way.
