From a security standpoint, I would never use Telegram. There is too much wrong with the implementation of the end-to-end cryptography, and so many shady things about Pavel Durov and his relation to the Russian government that it would be best to stay away.

How about Facebook messenger? I remember telling someone about how great Whatsapp is and how I could communicate with family overseas. She said "sounds like Facebook messenger." I thought about it and for my purposes either program works.

I too have never heard of Telegram until now.

Depends on the trend in your country. You would like to keep work and private life seperate. As far as India is concerned Whatsapp has already become junk with the number of business groups each individual has. Personal messages get lost between them. Better to use Telegram for persona use, however the point is that how may people will you be able to convince to join.

I've been using whatsapp ever since it came out and I don't think it's worth comparing the two. Whatsapp is the best.

Signal is supposed to be the new hotness but I've never used it. I don't use any psuedo-texting apps.

Hi Manish!

I am also confused.
Telegram is very useful for my business.
But Whatsapp is also useful for communicating with my classmates.
I think I prefer the convenience of WhatsApp.

I like Whatsapp, I use it daily for my personal purposes.

However, I am not sure if it's a good idea to use it as a business communication tool. I mean, if your business partner offers it himself, then sure, why not. Otherwise, I would start with a regular phone calls/messages.

I've used Telegram long back and was quite impressed with it. However, a very large crowd is already on Whatsapp and somehow within my circle Whatsapp is popular compared to Telegram.

Totally depends on your network. If they are using Whatsapp you gotta use it.
