Only an Apple lover will try that phone, if you have a bit of techy mind you would probably ignore it.

If you like Apple Brand than Go For That Phone.
But I suggest you to go with many other low cost phones with similar feature that you want to see in iPhone X.

I mean maybe if you want to show it off? I literally pay $30/mo for my phone and the phone itself is around $100.
I use boost mobile (the carrier that's often found in ghettos). Not the best phone but its cheap and I can get a new one really easy/cheap if I lose mine.

Does the price really matter for people on carrier subsidised plans though? Doesn't it get absorbed into the cost of the plan?

In my experience getting an iPhone X is just not worth it. $1000 has a value and it's not everyone's cup of coffee.
I would recommend getting a $500 smartphone instead.
@NehaMalik you compared iPhone X with 2015 Samsung flagship phone. That's not fair because Samsung after that Galaxy S6 phone has launched Galaxy S7 and this year Galaxy S8 as well. Now in February 2018 at MWC, the company will launch Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

I think its worth buying iPhone X at $1000, considering its specifications and especially if you're the biggest Apple fan.

Absolutely not. The thing with new "flagship phones" is that they are sold like they are going to change your lifestyle. These phones do not do much more than the old generation phones I own a Samsung Galaxy S8 and I did own a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and there is no big difference. The innovation difference between the old generation of smartphones and the new generation does not justify the price tag the companies ask for their brand new product.

The one thing I have seen with apple users is that they don't switch to Android after using Apple. Maybe that's because Apple is giving something which Android doesn't.

I was working with a client once that was using a Mac computer. All I can remember from that meeting was her saying "I love my Mac", but it was glitching at various times during our work session. Never the less, she "loved her Mac".
Mac products? I have an iPad, and that's it. What I can tell you from my own thoughts is that they sure are selling an "experience", and they've marketed their products very effectively from that standpoint.
Are they better? I don't know because "I'm PC".
Remember the Mac vs Pc commercials? Epic. Here's the "virus" commercial.

If you had the money to buy an iPhone X and not blink, why wouldn't you?

Not at all worth it.. Pretty soon before u realize there will be another phone with some new technology. Additionally unless u like sticking with a phone for a few years its not worth it.

You should not buy it just because its an iphone. Only a blindfolded apple lover will say that. If you ask apple lovers that what is special about i phone. They have only 2 things to say. "The touch is good" and " Camera is good".. 1000$ for touch and camera . absolutely not worth it

I think you should just wait for a two or three months just to see some reviews. If the people are pleased with it and you can afford it, just go for it. I would buy it even though it doesn't have any mind-blowing features, because of the experience I've had so far with an iPhone 4s. It lasted for approximately 6 years and it's still usable in terms of making calls/sending texts, whatsapp and facebook and for me this is a boost of confidence in apple products.

I do think it is according to your need. If you want a phone with great aesthetics and a great camera you can surely go with it (If you don't care about the money.)
