I feel that Firefox is the best browser. The interface is aesthetic and easy to use, and there are many plug-ins which make it customizable.

Firefox is which I prefer.
Opera comes in handy for coding it seems to care if you're missing some closing tags so you can debug faster.

How many topics of the same question do we need to have.. and each have to be 5+ pages long. Rediculuous? I think so.
It's all opinion, and this forum is bias towards Firefox, since of course, it is a developer forum, for the most part

Are there any FF users here that are actually familiar enough with their FF browser to know the answer to my question in post #82?

Ahh, gay Firefox actin' up again?
You can't, it's apart of vBulletin's design. Firefox, for some stupid reason does not go by ALT tags, but instead goes by the name property under the a function to display the tool-tips. Not sure why, it's stupid.
BUT! This is why you get those. To my knowledge, with default funtionality, you cannot disable this functionality.

Oh, ok, thanks Izzmo.
I was thinking that the FF browser had a feature that allowed you to alter code to customize the browser, and that possibly disabling alt text was doable. Oh well. I guess I'm outta luck then, because I do like the browser except for that and a few other things.

I guess there's a function where FF lets you change attributes such as true and false, to customize its behavior.

Extensions or add-ons. One is GreaseMonkey, there's another that lets you change true/false statements.. I'm looking for that one now, might take a while to find it, there's like.. 100's of the damned things. I think I found it by typing in tooltips, or alt text or something, into the add-ons searchbar. Will post when found, and if this strong thunderstorm doesn't knock me out. : /

Actually, I just remembered how to access that page, you just type
about:config
into your FF address bar and hit enter.

Firefox - Opera - Never IE
Firefox is good and all and I do use it most of the time, but opera has much more functionality and options. Of course this only matters if you want things to work how you want, if you are happy with the simple quick loading firefox, keep rockin it. And yes opera is a memory hog...so you don't all need to tell me that once I post this.
Cheers!
Nick

I prefer opera to Firefox. It has some good speed tweaks and auto refreshes pages

Speed Tweaks!
Please do tell, I love opera except it seems sluggish when browsing multiple tabs, can you help?

Why does anyone bother with speed tweaks? Deep down, do you actually feel like pages are loading faster, or is it just that you have dial-up, or worse, DSL!!
