booting from dvd disk

I get Microsoft Vista for free through my school's MSDN Academic Alliance program and I have downloaded and burned a DVD of Vista Business Edition.

It will boot on my laptop into install, but not my desktop computer.

I have changed boot order to put IDE CD/ROM Device first, but to no avail.

I have 2 CD/DVD drives

1 - 48x CD-RW
2 - 8x DVD+R/RW

I need to get it to boot from the DVD drive and I can not get it to work.

I just flashed BIOS.

I submitted a support request to Dell, but it could be months before I hear back from them.

Any ideas?

These may seem like silly questions, but:

1) Did you set up the BIOS to boot from the DVD? (You mentioned the CD)
2) Did you burn the DVD on +R or -R media? (From your description, your DVD drive can only handle +R)
