Just connect your 2 pcs using a crossover cable - the 2 pcs must have lan cards installed.
Then configure your ICS (comes with Windows XP).

Setting up two XP(Im assuming) machines is quite easy... instructions here.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...p/default.mspx

If you are on dialup you use your 56k modem as usual but each comp needs a network card. Use a crossover cable and run the network setup wizard in each comp. If you are on high speed you will need a router instead of the modem obviously.

You don't necessarily need a router for connecting 2 pcs for a single high speed connection.

I stand corrected... I was still wiping the sleep out of my eyes
If you have high speed and your cable modem has USB you can use the lan to connect to the other comp. If there is no USB then you can install two lan cards in that comp.
