The problem with wiki is that devoted (read= paid by third parties) editors have the power to edit and change any page they are paid for to change. Paid editors (not paid by wiki of course) have much more time on their hands than the avarage editor who just edits things they have some knowledge about and have a day time job to attend to. In the past there have been a couple of incidents when paid editors got cought red handed editing articles on various subjects. Banks, the US government, insurance and pharmaceutical companies all have been exposed in the past for employing people specially to edit wiki pages to make the employing company, or government look better than they really are, by editing out all the negatives in articles concearning those companies/governments.

For this reason alone Wiki is a failed experiment in my view. There's no way you can trust the information on there.

As for Paypal, they blocked our account the other week and wanted to receive official documents that proved our non profit status and tax exemption (it's a religion's account).

When we provided those documents they suddenly told us that the 'donate' buttons should be taken off from our main site before they can unblock the account.

WTF!?

Paypal wanted me to give them a bank account to verify me or I cannot withdraw all my funds! I gave them an account and they came back to me with, we cannot do a direct debit to that account. You have to give us another account or we cannot verify you?
What on earth do they expect me to do? Open another bank account to withdraw my paypal funds? What if they turn down that account? Why should they need more account details. Why can't I just ask them to send me a cheque with my funds!
I have never heard of needing a bank account to have another? Isn't paypal a non interest bank account?
Talk about exploiting its users. Can anyone offer an alternative?

no... actually I just checked and my account is currently making 5%. You won't make more than that with any other bank account.

but if you really don't want to give them a regular bank account you could always use your paypal account to just buy a money order, drain the account and be done with it. OR get the paypal debit card.
