I've already disabled it. It took me about 30 seconds to realize how annoying it was.

Do the plugins work with it? Such as LiveHeaders and Firebug?

Most of the plugins work with FF3.
Firebug has been updated and it is also FF3-compatible now.

SEOpen doesn't work on my FF3... Also, when I search on the top most right search bar of Google toolbar, it doesn't give me search results sometimes...

Google toolbar(compatible to FF3) was released along with mozilla FF3. Mine was updated while installing.
I have noticed more resource usage than FF2.
Finally, It's GREAT! I love FF

Interesting. Mine (FF3.0) is consuming much less memory than FF2.0 did, also it runs much faster.

There is a workaround for version check and in some cases it may work fine. However it might be somehow risky, so before doing it, it's better to do a backup.
Extension XPI's are (ZIP) archives, so they can be renamed to .zip and the files can be unpacked. There is a "install.rdf" file and it contains a key:
Code:
em:maxVersion>X.X</em:maxVersion>
where X.X (or similar) is maximum Firefox version number this extension will work with. This key can be changed to 3.0 (or more) to provide FF3 support.
After doing so, the files should be zipped, and .zip file renamed back to .xpi. Now you can install your extension.
But be warned! - You are doing it on your own risk
I've "fooled" two of my extensions, while I'm waiting for their Firefox 3.0 upgrades and they seem to be working fine so far.

Mozilla pitches Firefox 3.1 alpha for July release
Also since the June 17 launch, more than 21.8 million copies of Firefox 3.0 have been downloaded, according to Mozilla's own counter.
Wondering when will Guinness acknowledge the record.
