Although there are many many to choose from now google has to be the most extensive. Thus google is my preference as well although I do use some others for specific searches.

YAHOO works for me
Nothing against the Big G however Yahoo has its charms.

I've had good success getting my clients to the #1 SERP on Yahoo, less so with Google. I will tell you that in my experience a #1 placement on Yahoo will out-produce many "first page" placements on Google.

It is all about the ROI.
