How to Boost Cable Signal

Does anybody know of a good device or some other way to boost my cable signal? During peak usage periods, my Internet goes in and out. I called my cable company and they say my signal is weak because I have it split too many times. Any advice is appreciated.

Well ultimately, your signal strength will depend on how you're splitting it. You can always try a powered coax distributor.

But don't boost the signal to the cable modem.
Ideally, you want to split the signal once (one lead goes to the cable modem and the other lead can be amplified and sent (and split further) to the TVs in the home).
