Agree. I will straight head towards the reset button to shutdown an arrogant and defiant computer and that is the easiest option available

If I have some unsaved work, then I will wait for the PC to respond. The wait time will depend on how important the unsaved work is
And if there is no response, then I guess I will press the restart button.

if your computer hangs or freeze, first press the numlock button if light goes on and off that means your PC didn't hang, used ctrl+alt+delete to end task the current program that doesn't respond, If you want to reboot the PC hold the power button until it goes off then turn it on again, don't use the reset button it might damage your hardrive.

If my computer hangs, ctrl+alt+del is my first option. The second one if it's not responding, press and hold the power button.

Computer Hangs?
If your PC hangs, just press ctrl+alt+del, if you always experience computer hanging, scan your PC for viruses. If no virus found, defrag your PC. Also use a system registry cleaner software.
