URLs are case sensitive

I submitted my webpage to bluefind today with the following URL
http://realestateagent.eobm.net/city...%20Obispo.html

I checked and my webpage was added, which is great, however the casing on my URL was changed to http://realestateagent.eobm.net/city...%20obispo.html

Causing a 404 error. So I added a temporary page, but why did they do this?

How do you get support to change it to how it was submitted?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul
welcome to the forums

unfortuately the script currently does not handle upper cased letters. if you want to keep your upper cased version you can 301 redirect the address of the lower cased version to the location of the upper cased version and the PageRank / link popularity of the link will parse through.

the other option would be to switch your normal filepath to the lower cased version if it is easy.

going forward the case sensitivity is one of the things we hope to get fixed with the script.
