I'm already in that category... the listing in computers was to give the site maximum exposure as we deal with all aspects of computing not just hardware. The site actually has 3 listings in Bluefind.

You could add a few bucks and make one of those a sponsored listing and move it to the top Computers category.

Wow, that sounds like a deal, I buy a link in the Computers category, you place it but then a few months later move it to a lower category...then the genius part is you actually ask me for more money to move it back to where it started! I'll pass thanks

LOL. My sense of humour is similar to yours, almost. Surely you must realize that every single person submitting to BlueFind would prefer that we list their site in the top category, or even on the home page. But if we did that, the directory would be trash overnight.

Yes I can see exactly why you are doing it and it will improve the directory .... It just made me laugh, I have visions of you looking through the computers category just going hmm d-a-l..what does that site do? ...computer help..chuck that one in Hardware....Next! anyway i'll stick with how it is in Hardware for now.

A word of advice John, a standard listing should be sent to the correct category right off the bat, or you'll keep running into this. Or if you want to give the standard listing a boost by puting it in a top level category for a short time and then move it later...you might want to put that in writing on the sign up page under the $ 49.95 ones. just a thought

This is as bad as it can be. Hiding a listing can be as bad as removing it. Correct move would be not accepting new standard submissions on top pages.

One of my lists is moved from pr7 page to a pr3 page, and I am the only one in that page.
even If I go up one level, I find no one there either.
What have I done? both Pr3 or Pr 7 pages have not cached by G*anyway.
I hope bluefind is not like G* will penalize you for "who know what"?

Most of BlueFind pages dropped from Google's index, for some unknown reason. They are coming back now - it's up to 9,000 pages in the index today.
By the way, what is your website URL?

The Web page url:
http://store.hometheater2u.com/wireless.html
This is a shopping site but also a manufacture site.
The reason we submit this page in science category is because :
This innovated wireless technology is just been awarded as CES 2005 innovation Honoree , the page is for the offical info. of this wireless speakers solution from the manufacture.
But now the page has been move to:
BlueFind Web Directory : Shopping : Consumer Electronics : Stereo Equipment : Speakers

LOL!! You crack me up. Every single legit web directory on the Internet moves websites to the most suitable categories. Yahoo!, DMOZ, BlueFind, etc. Every one of them. In fact, the vast majority of submissions get moved. When I was in DMOZ, it was probably something like 95% of submissions that get moved. It has everything to do with intelligent editing and nothing to do with intelligent submitting.

That’s a 100% correct listing. I would have placed it in the same topic in WoW or Skaffe. If a site offers consumer sales it is a shopping site. If your sales were intended for business sales it would have been placed in Business to Business. Never Science if it offers products for sale.

I'm kinda lost on this thread. By John's TOS , he didn't even have to accept the site. But he did, and then moved it into the correct category to maintain the integrity of the directory and then people say things like This is as bad as it can be.
I agree that sites should be placed in the correct category off the start, but in the scheme of things, his sites are brand new compared to DMOZ, Yahoo etc.

I have listed the site in shopping directory already. Bluefind also allow you to submit the "web page"., that's why later on we submitted the page in different category. The page is for info , no order button etc.
I have no problems been re-category, I respect & recognize the policy of the directory.
I just feel been buried at " no man land" is little harsh.(even one level up is " no man land")
