V7N Directory - It gets searches!
So, being the greedy bastard that I am, I want V7N Directory to get used by actual people.
So, yeah, it's getting searches. Being the sneaky bastard that I am I went around to a few choice places and put up the search box on various sites.
Example: www.webmaster-forum.net
The search box is on several sites now, of those a few are high traffic sites, and the directory is getting searches.
Problem is, not enough listings. Once there are more listing in the directory, we will have a search box on every page of V7N, and I'll have the search box on a few other high traffic sites.
Just FYI

Way to get the word out.
I'd be submitting if it was a free listing.
1 day submission special for forum members?

Forum members (full members) do get free submission. But if the submission doesn't meet with the guidelines it will get rejected.

How do forum members submit to the directory without having to go through the checkout?

After submitting, they just refrain from paying.

I didn't know that, I will submit my site then since I am another one of the poor folk.
Edit: I just checked out the directory and I don't see an appropriate category for my site, any ideas?

You are a "member". I think "full member" is 150 posts.

As of now, V7N directory gets more traffic than SevenSeek. Over twice as much.
The search box on other sites is bringing in tons of traffic and searches.
www.suzuki-bikes.com
That search box is on tens of thousands of pages now.

Very good and thorough search tool. I like human edited directories because they limit all the crap.
