Aren't you concerned that because most of those are still empty pages that that may do you some harm? There is some suggestion that Google's first impressions are hard to shake or update.

Not concerned at all. We keep adding sites and categories and keeping it fresh. I see no reason for ill treatment from Google.

I’ve never seen Google have a problem with and empty category only with one that has 200+ links. It seems to leave the page before indexing all the content when they have excessive links.
