The mystery of the disappearing post ...

I posted a New Thread in the Blogging Forum earlier today entitled "How popular is your blog?" which referred to a post I made on my blog.

Just tried looking for it and it's no longer there. Would this be something that had been "moderated"? There's no warning or anything in my PM box. Could be it a bug? Or am I just going blind ?

I was wondering if it was deleted because of self-promotion, but I've seen a number of threads that start off with just a link to a blog post .. so didn't think it could be that.

Confused ...

I removed it.

And it was, as you had expected, due to the immediate referral to your blog.

Thanks for the clarification.

I felt that having an intro paragraph before the link set the context rather than just having a "click here" link as the body of the message. Next time I'll just copy the whole post in, as people might find it interesting.
