It's common practice that threads are deleted here without notice ?

Hello,

i posted a thread about my new article site (vipdigg.com). It may been posible that i posted in a wrong forum, anyway i cant find that thread anymore.

It's common practice that threads are deleted without notice ? I would like to know, at least to learn where i was wrong to avoid such mistakes in the future.

I've never had a thread deleted as long as I've been here. Maybe it was deleted, but if it were, then it's possible that you didn't first follow the rules....But if you did, maybe you didn't click submit?

I clicked submit im sure the thread existed yesterday. As i said it may be possible to have submitted in wrong forum but bottom point is i'm threadless and without knowing what i did wrong.

I didn't moderate your post, so I am not sure what happened with it, but I can tell you that self promotion is not allowed in the main forums here. This includes introducing and linking to an article you have written.

The only sections that allows promotion of your own site are those within the Webmaster Marketplace. You will want to double check the rules in each of those sections though to verify any special posting guidelines. (There is usually a sticky post with instructions in those areas.)

Simple answer:
Yes, it's common practice that threads and posts are removed without notice, but not without reason.

And Crickie's right - the most common reason for post/thread removal is self- or site-promotion outside of the marketplace.

You can always go to your UserCP and check your thread subscriptions (if you have them enabled). It should find the thread if it was moved to a different forum.

Thanks for trying to help but the thread in question was about vipdigG.com I know where subscription are and the thread wasn't moved.

Anyway, i got my answers, thank you.

I've had threads locked after being accused of trolling--I was in fact simply asking honest questions, but it wasn't deleted. I think you're safe as long as you abide.
