My signature is still a tag
My postings have crossed the threshold of 50, but my signature remains a tag, not a link. How can I fix it? May I request the Forum to fix it?

Then I tried to put a description of content before the link as others have done. Then it does not work. Please help.

I already fixed it for you once. You need to learn to use it because I am not going to be able to keep changing your signature for you. http://www.v7n.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode

Thanks Cricket. I would like to learn this technique. You put a description after your link, and others place it before the link. I haven't got it yet.

Hi Cricket,
I checked the Edit Signature and found the code just as I thought I had put in, but did not work for me. You have the magic touch. I shall whine no more. Thanks a million!

This should help:
It's almost exactly like doing with with HTML, just different tags.
[url=http://www.v7n.com]Webmaster Forums[/url]
Will display as:
Webmaster Forums
In other words:
[url=http://www.yoursite.com]Your Description[/url]
See very similar to HTML

Hi Deejay,
Thank you. Cricket has helped, and it is working now.
There should be a tutorial for for the dumb ones to encode the signature .

Rulu, I'm tempted to ban you regardless for spamming the Introductions thread to get to 50 posts.
If you don't start posting some quality content, I may yet.

I saw some other forums have a 10 posts limit before one would be able to post in a forum...why not adding that for the Introductions forum? it's funny to see members with 3 posts saying "welcome to v7n"... and maybe a top limit of 10 posts/day/user account too?

This thread is a bit older but I hope some moderators notice it again. I tried using the BBcode urls and when I use spaces, what's in my sig shows up. But when I link without spaces, i.e. site.com, it tells me that BBcode is not allowed. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? Thank you.

Ok, so it shows up as I can see. My point is that when I use BBcode in my siggy with the url tag, it tells me that BBcode is not allowed, yet when I use it inside my message, it works just fine. Then it's probably a glitch.
