Again about deleted topics

Hello,

i had a thread about my website who list free directories based on owner feedback about their review time. The thread was up for 2-3 months i think, getting some good feedback and kind words from people who found it useful.

Suddenly the thread is gone, also the rep i got in that thread is gone.

This is the 2nd time such thing happen. If the thread was not by the forum rules should have been closed but not deleted.

I must admit that i seriously think to stop visiting this forum.

P.S. Thread title was "Free Directories listed by review time"

Accidents happen all the time, why do you put so much heart into it, let it go...

If your thread wasn't accidentally deleted then the mods had had a good reason for deleting it.

Chances are the thread was quickly becoming a spam trap, as many threads of that type do. Whether the initial topic was spammy or not, the subject tends to lend itself to link droppers and spammers. Also, the topic tends to be relived over and over.

As no threads are ever deleted (instead moved to a spam forum), you would not have lost any rep.

Exactly. You just are no longer to see the thread associated with the rep. You do not lose the rep.

I looked into the thread - you 'forgot' one major rule in the forum:
Posting links to your own sites is not permitted.

Kapische?
